TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

Payment

Bookings are confirmed on payment of a deposit of 30%; the balance is payable 3 months before your arrival. This is payable by Bank to Bank transfer - we regret we cannot accept cheques or credit cards.

 

Permitted Use

This is a self catering holiday home and may only be used for this purpose. Unless otherwise agreed with us, lettings are for a maximum of 8 guests.

Parties or celebrations at the House for larger numbers are not permitted unless agreed prior with us. A different scale of charges and conditions would apply, reflecting the increased wear and tear and risk of damage to the House. 

 

Staff

We will provide the services of our Housekeeper (and her occasional assistant) for 3 hours on weekday mornings. Her primary remit is to ensure that the House is kept to the standards expected by our guests and us. She will change the bedlinen and towels once a week. (More towels are available in between). She usually tidies the living rooms and kitchen if they are available and any bedrooms and bathrooms that are not occupied, depending on time. If you require any further Housekeeping help, please let us know well in advance.

 

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation by you: If you need to cancel before paying the final balance, we will do our best to re-let the week. If we can do so on the same terms, we will return your deposit less 5% (of the total rental for the booking) to cover our costs. No refund is available for cancellations within 3 months of arrival date as most of our bookings come in 9-12 months in advance. We advise guests to take out appropriate insurance to cover this.

Cancellation by Us: We will not cancel your booking unless, in our opinion, the House becomes dangerous or unfit for use and/or in need of repair. This would include (but is not limited to), for example, accidental damage or failure of services. If this happens, we will try our best to secure alternative accomodation for you but will not be obliged to do so. In the event that this happens, we will refund any monies already paid to us but will not be liable to you for any more than this.

 

Damage

You will be responsible for any damage to the property or its contents during your stay. We advise guests to ensure their own insurance covers such damage. We ask that you notify us of any damage or malfunctioning equipment as soon as possible so that we can repair or replace it.

 

Subletting

Subletting or transferring the booking to another party for any part of your stay is not permitted without our prior approval. 

 

Interpretation:

This agreement is governed by Irish law.
